Eckley Miners Village is a real coal company town built in the 1850s. Today, Eckley continues to stand as a reminder of the rich heritage of the anthracite region, with a museum and several restored buildings.

Review:

In recent years, Eckley has been receiving some much needed restoration work on the houses and other structures of the former coal town. The best time to visit in our opinion is during one of the special events, such as Living History Weekend, held in August, which features a Civil War encampment, demonstrations, craft and food vendors, and more.
