The Wanamaker, Kempton & Southern Railroad, also known as the Hawk Mountain Line, has been operating as a tourist railway since 1963. Headed by an historic steam or diesel locomotive, the train departs Kempton, Berks County for the trip to Wanamaker, Lehigh County, before returning to the Kempton Station. Static displays and a gift shop are also on site.

Review:

The WK&S Railroad is a great place to see historic trains in action, and ride through the rolling hills and forests, past fields and streams.

Be sure to check the schedule before you go, as the railroad is only open on weekends, and runs either diesel or steam locomotives depending on the day and season.
